TorBrowser Noscript addon

Sometime in the last year or two the included addon Noscript has become less safe by default. After starting the browser I always open Noscript settings and click Reset. The makes script, object, media disabled - the way it used to be. These shouldnt be needed for DNMs but if you visit standard clearnet sites they will expect JS to be enabled in the browser.
It is good to have the Noscript icon configured to show in the toolbar to remind if the security settings have been relaxed.

Re: TorBrowser Noscript addon

well fuck, just noticed this after you mentioned it!
the default definitely used to be to block all scripts now it's allow all by default... why???

I like to also block scripts at the firefox level. Goto: Preferences > Privacy& Security > Scroll down to 'Security Level' > Set to 'Safest'.
This will force firefox to block all scripts at a lower level and also the noscript plugin will then adjust its default settings to match (I guess it's forced to)

Re: TorBrowser Noscript addon

Not sure what the reason is but maybe so many people are using TB now for general privacy as a VPN alternative.
