Marked delivered, not delivered

Hi all, have a domestic order that I have been waiting on for about a week, messaged the vendor and he provided tracking, Only to discover that it had been delivered the day before yesterday! (Supposedly)
Have checked blind spots where a courier may have hidden it with no results. Highly doubt it was stolen as on a fairly quiet road, nobody but myself anticipating its arrival.
Not too sure what to do next, I would be knocking on neighbours doors but that would murder any claims of plausible deniability. Right? Any suggestions appreciated.

Call NZ Post with the tracking number. They hopefully will have a photo of where it was left.

Up 4 days, down 4 dollars.

Happened to me last December. Called nz post and they couldnt do anything. Didnt get a knock on the door or any love letter. Probably a sketchy postman or something
