I'm pretty sure you can cash deposit to some of the local exchanges

Perhaps now that its banned, the Mycelium wallet Local Trader feature will start to get some users.

There is an nzbitcoin reddit that could be used for finding traders. An exchange isn't necessary for cash trades. There just needs to be a reputation system and possibly a way to prove the seller actually owns some bitcoin.

That Mycelium local trader looks like a good idea. Good wallet too.

Re: can someone please start an exchange where people can do cash

I thought about creating a simple online exchange a few years back. If there's a demand for one I'll think about it again.

What's the law around it? Is there some kind of license you'd need to run an exchange? Would there be anything stopping you from running one on the clear net that doesn't require ID for trades?

There was a good simple exchange called something like bitnz but he shut down due to all the regulations. For organizing cash meetups though , no exchange is necessary.

That's the one I was picturing but I couldn't remember the name. I assumed he'd shut down due to regulations getting too complicated.

Maybe it would be easier to manage if users were able to deposit cash using something like PayPal instead. Although then of course they'd need to cover PayPal's fees making it slightly more expensive.

Bitnz you had to deposit money to his account. But i think if its like local bitcoins where people deposit to the sellers account or do cash meetup shouldnt be too much regulation even then could one not just setup at a different country?.Also  it could be a forums or something or a reddit
