Is it legal to send cash in the mail NZ
Is it okay to send $1000 in the mail in cash from an NZ address to an NZ address?
If so whats the best way to go about it?

NZ Post don't seem to want people to send cash iirc (I think it's a prohibited item, could check on their website), but I can't see how you'd get caught.

Make sure you use a tracked service. Never skimp on this.
Wrap any cash in something else, like A4 paper folded like a letter, so the size and shape isn't obvious.
I sent A$2500 from Australia to NZ in two lots like that years ago and didn't have any problems.
