Opium Poppies

Has anyone here smoked or prepared opium from poppy plants? If so, how was it?

It takes a bit of time gathering the gum but well worth it , especially if your tolerance to opiates is low.
I boil up all the gum and filter out the plant material using mesh screens made for cannabis sieving. You get a rock solid dark brown material after the liquid evaporates. Heat up a piece of wire red hot and dip into the opium and draw up the smoke with a straw.
Actually I smoked some today. Heroin makes me lazy but opium is more uplifting.

Then you can collect all the dry heads afterwards and still make tea.
