How dangerous is it to transport a pill press in checked baggage?  International or not does it matter?

Dumb in the fact if your carry on is scanned (internationally it is always  and when flying some domestic routes) and then they decide to check the contents for any reason what are you going to say.  ?  Zero ability to deny knowledge Zero ability to explain it away zero ability to not allow the police to search everything you own   To be honest I am not certain why you would even consider it.
