If a vendor

Sends you a tracking number a week after an order was marked shipped

And the tracking says invalid or waiting for update

And the vendor has recent bad feedback on quality or shipment or timeliness of orders

Would you feel you're getting ripped off enough to dispute, or hold out longer?

Re: If a vendor

Click the "Disputes" button if they haven't responded to you. Most vendors will offer a reship after a certain period, but some may not especially in cases like a burnt address.

How would they know if its a burnt address? What else could be the reason for something not showing up? The package has got to go somewhere right, so wouldn't you have to assume your address and name are burnt if a package goes missing?

Re: If a vendor

It’s easy to tell if your address is burnt when a package gets stuck at the collection stage. A while back FJ and I had a customer who would consistently have orders stuck at this stage for weeks. Despite both of us reshipping the packages three times they all got stuck. To check if your address is burnt simply send a package to yourself and see if it arrives.

If a package doesnt arrive it could be due to an incorrect address or human error whether its a mistake by the courier or neighbors accidentally receiving the wrong package opening it and not saying anything.

As in send any sort of package, or a package with narcotics? I assume regular packages would eventually show up, but after a slight delay from it being inspected? Any information you can give me would be really handy as Im in a situation where a vendor is claiming its stuck in the "collected from sender" status - although they havent actually given me the tracking number so I can't be sure. I let the order AF which was silly of me, but I trusted this vendor and now I feel like I've maybe been selectively scammed

Re: If a vendor

If you send a book or anything beside narcotics in courier bag you’ll be able to determine if your address is flagged. Have you ever had an overseas order seized before? Alternatively you could contact NZPOST to inquire about the situation but keep in mind there’s still a risk.

If it’s marked as **collected from sender** that means the address is definitely flagged.

Re: If a vendor

Yeah clean address nz to nz

Not marked collected from sender or anything just equivalent to the result for a nonsense tracking code

Great info though good to understand how getting stuck due to that flag looks

No I haven't! I only buy local lol

What would be the safest way to contact them? Through a burner phone or something?

Re: If a vendor

The likelihood of it being stopped locally is super low. Unless its something ultra obvious....like weed. I have had packs sent to me delayed up to 2 weeks.  Had one end up under a couriers seat arrive 3 weeks later scrunched up.

Get a burner and call. There are also incidents of couriers just being fooking useless as well.
