Not really worth opening a vendor account if its not frequent or large.

Re: Prepaid debit cards / prezzy cards

Similar to the guy who was offering a cashout service, one problem I see with this is the slim margins and impact on the vendor if its lost in the mail. With the high margins on drugs, replacing a lost parcel is not a problem.

What kind of margin would you have on this? 10-30%? So you would have to sell quite a few to make up for a lost one. I guess you just have a strict 50% refund policy for lost packages.

If its just gonna be used for online purchases, a safer option could be to just open the card and send the details via encrypted message. Then you just have to rely on the vendor being trustworthy and destroying his copy of the details.

Again its basically a cash>cash transaction so margins need to be smallish or you're just literally throwing money away for the sake of convenience. I wonder if TD would consider voiding fees for this and cashout listings as they are kind of a 'community service'.

This would definately make it worthwhile looking into.  TD any comment on this?  It was the biggest crippling factor why I stopped the cashout service.  For the risk versus reward it had too much potential to fail.

Would be keen to setup to do prezzy cards on auto pilot if there was a need for it.

Re: Prepaid debit cards / prezzy cards

Is the question about having different commission levels for different products?

Yes

Mainly for specific listings pertaining to the community as a whole (btc in/out) and not for products setup with high profit margins.  Essentially FIAT<->CRYPTO as value is retained in the exchange with premiums applied on top for ease of use and convenience.

Re: Prepaid debit cards / prezzy cards

The code doesn't support having variable commission rates currently. Does the trading of bitcoin for cash or cards need to be done on the tor network though? The commissions on the market are due to the illegality of the operation and the excessive work required to keep all systems private, but for legal trading of bitcoin why bother with the overhead of trying to do business using dark net markets. Maybe there are established vendors here that want to utilize their existing reputation and add an additional business line in currency trades.

Fair enough.  It all makes sense from that perspective.  However direct deals and such are still prohibited on here so maybe a relaxation of those rules to allow for the currency trading?  Possibly even a subforum specifically for?

Re: Prepaid debit cards / prezzy cards

I could look at setting something up on the market, but was just trying to understand why vendors would want to do bitcoin cash trades on a DNM rather than other trading methods outside of TOR. Is it because there is a need for escrow? With Localbitcoins stopping cash trades I suppose there is a need to another site to facilitate that.

I personally would advise creating some form of rapore with a few of the sellers/buyers on localbtc and just grab their mobile numbers.
