XMR wallet

I usually use Zengo for exchanging crypto currency, but since they do not list Monero I was wondering if there was another Wallet I could use which doesn't require ID to establish and will hold Monero.

thank you

Re: XMR wallet

Monero GUI Wallet is the gold standard Monero wallet. I also agree changenow.io is the best exchange.

Re: XMR wallet

You can also swap Most cryptos to XMR in Exodus wallet.

Fees a little steep but very easy to use

Re: XMR wallet

I have had a lot of trouble with Exodus wallet and doing exchanges. I have a problem where the sync is 'stuck'. Trying to get support to help. So over using Exodus and the issues I have had with syncing and swapping.

So can you guys help me out with the recommended process?

So I can buy Monero directly from changenow.io, deposit it to a Monero GUI Wallet and then go from there?

Re: XMR wallet

I think you can buy it from them actually but no what I meant was you'd buy litecoin or something from a normal ass market you're already signed up for (for most people reading this it's going to be easycrypto) and then set up an exchange from litecoin to monero on changenow.io.

And yes when you set up the exchange use your Monero GUI Wallet address as the recipient address. After the exchange is started it'll give you a deposit address, it literally doesn't matter how much you actually end up sending to that address, they will still exchange it at the rate you started the exchange with.

Yeah XMR syncing can be annoying..

Hmm maybe try holding the "Sync progress" button in the XMR Sync page on Exodus and then set a custom height.

But yes, buying any crypto and changing it with a exchange service that supports xmr is the way to go.

Re: XMR wallet

Okay so I buy Bitcoin from say EasyCrypto and then use the exchange service? Is that correct. Apologies for not quite understanding this...

Re: XMR wallet

What are the advantages of using Litecoin for buying Monero? I have another transaction stuck because of Bitcoin congestion (I think). Would Litecoin help with this problem?

Re: XMR wallet

Best option is to buy litecoin then swap to xmr.  Dont do btc to xmr just the fees are crazy high
