NZpost delivery info

Has anyone ever come across a package where its had no tracking update at all then has an update first thing in the morning as "Out with courier for delivery"

With no information at all as to when its origin came from ?

Ive seen a few times where it doesnt go through your usual processing facility and just direct from pickup to out for delivery, but not from "No update on ticket" to out for delivery.

Thoughts ?

Yes I have seen this a number of times.
Usually it is if its been dropped in red letter box and if a scan is missed in the first sorting facility. Its more likely to have a out for delivery scan if the person sending is in your area as well. Ie. Missed scan in sorting center but was already in local area so next scan was with courier. Otherwise your first scan would be "at local depo waiting for courier" or something along those lines.
