Would love to get my hands on some some Spore Prints, or even better, Spore Syringes!

Not an expert but I would think you'd be relatively safe ordering a spore print internationally. It'd just look like paper, don't think dogs would pick it up. Nothing with volume to show on an xray.
That said I did try get a free one through FSRE (Free Spore Ring Earth) ~5 years ago to no success. I think it may have been that they weren't cool with the international reply coupon in place of a self stamped envelope. They were still going recently but the website looks down.

Is it class A to have the spores or is only the mushroom that is deemed illegal to possess?

I'm pretty sure even the spore prints of edible mushrooms are illegal in nz, but don't quote me on that

Spore swap on reddit works really well. Spores always get into NZ just in an envelope.
I personally wouldnt try spore syringes too obvious.
