i read online that you can do it in iso and letting it evaporate

For MDMA good solvent systems are almost any dry alcohol. Methanol>ethanol>IPA IMO, 4-5 volumes of the chosen alcohol is a good place to start. Even better is a 3:2 mixture of ethyl acetate + an alcohol. For this ethanol works great as its BP is really close to that of ethyl acetate, but other alcohols work as well. Use 5-8 volumes of the mixture.

Using the dual system works best for hydrates of MDMA HCl that don't crystallize as easily. Generally though just using an alcohol solvent and letting things evaporate over a few days works fine.
