What’s with the prices?

Why are NZ based vendors charging so much for products? Over $10 for a bar of Xanax and over $450 for an ounce? Some vendors are charging 10 times what overseas vendors do.  What’s with the price gouging?

I've seen codeine on sale here for 10 times more per mg than what I can legally buy over the counter at any pharmacy in NZ right now. Sure the over counter stuff has paracetamol so would require a cold water extraction but that's a quick easy job.

But people most be willing to pay it as it sold out so as long as that is happening it wont change.

I’ve found street prices to sometimes be cheaper than on here. And you think the extra security of buying domestic is worth the 10-15 times price hike some of these vendors put on their products?

I’ve found street prices to sometimes be cheaper than on here. And you think the extra security of buying domestic is worth the 10-15 times price hike some of these vendors put on their products?

I price my products the way they are because if I sell them any cheaper I sell out within days and I cant keep up. Its simple supply and demand. If a vendor puts weed up at street prices eg. 350 an ounce the will sell out that day and become like uncutpure unable to keep up.

I would like to point out that I'm not complaining. I was more expressing surprise that people are willing to pay some of the prices. I fully support the free market.

No thanks. I wasn’t complaining, more looking for an answer as to why vendors charge 10+ times what they pay when it’s not even top quality product. If people are paying for it, congrats! And more power to them. Was just curious because it seems abit wrong to me. I’ll continue buying what I can and supporting the good vendors!

That’s a sensible answer thanks! That does make sense and not something I’d considered. Wouldn’t buying more product and selling cheaper be more profitable?

I mean, I wouldn't say I'm HAPPY about paying this much for weed. But like they say, supply and demand.

I do like how I was able to secure some quality, unlike buying on the street.

I think it really boils down to 4 things. Risk the vendor takes importing, supply , demand and overheads

NZ has the toughest customs in the world, and the risk of prison for vendors is high.

There is no such thing as price gouging. Prices are based on free market supply and demand and the high prices are needed to bring in more supply. The highest priced drugs are in prisons but also often have the best range or drugs available (in US at least). The government distorts the market and ensure we never run out of people willing to supply.

I look at it as a convenience fee, I've brought some shit drugs on the street, had to deal with some pretty shady characters, been mucked around with meet ups even had a horrific experience where the MDMA I thought I brought was something else likely a synthetic cathinone. This market relies on positive feedback so generally you are getting what your ordering, I'll never buy drugs on the street again might have to part with a few extra bucks but what I want gets left on my doorstep within days lol

I get its just supply and demand but $100 to get a couple doses of benzos, may as well buy a bag of bud and make a tasty knock out brownie.
