PGR Weed Warning

Buyers on the markets should take a stand against vendors who don't disclose the bud is PGR grown, at least by displaying a photo of it. PGR weed is epidemic in australia and growing in NZ, even if yes vote happens it will be a long time before it takes effect so we need to call it out now.

How to spot harmful PGR weed:

Most important is no crystals/trichomes or very low coverage, if there are plenty of trichomes then it is not PGR since PGR inhibits their formation. When you look closely at buds, you should be seeing serious crystal coverage, if you are just seeing plant material something is wrong (but maybe not PGR)

To know for sure whether your low-trichome weed is PGR or just poorly grown you need to go down this checklist

1 Are the buds dense and rocky
2 Are the stems weird and twisty
3 Are the buds almost entirely orange hairs

Those attributes above can sometimes show up naturally in a strain of weed, but if they all show up together AND the weed has very low trichome coverage you got dangerous/low potency PGR weed and should warn us.

It doesn't sound like you'd want to smoke this shit even with parental guidance....

Plant growth regulators (PGRs) are chemicals used to modify plant growth.

"PGRs are typically used to fatten buds up, increasing their weight; benefiting the ‘bottom lines’ of both producers and vendors – effectively increasing profits down the chain. This would be fine – if smoking PGR didn’t suck the cannabinoids and terpenes (i.e. the fun) out of cannabis, and have deeply adverse consequences to one’s health over the long term."

Re: PGR Weed Warning

PGR isn't *that* bad, you won't get sick from smoking it occasionally, there isn't evidence that long term smoking of PGR causes harm but using PGRs are banned in most countries for consumable food so it is best to be careful. In au some people prefer PGR weed, the high tends to be more heady and last less long, goes with chop bongs well.

But selling PGR while claiming it is top shelf indoor is pretty bad, I haven't seen it in NZ but you get cunts doing that on au markets all the time. Vendors with PGR have to know that most people don't like it, the potency is low, the high is different, the taste is shit, so they should price it accordingly and be honest. But no need to act like selling PGR weed without disclosing that is akin to selling fent as xanax, it's just a shittier way of growing weed.
