I wish more vendors would accept altcoins

With the recent BTC boom happening and fees sky rocketing its getting harder and harder to justify buying online rather than just going to a dealer. Made a purchase and forgot to include the transaction fee and had to do a follow up payment. Combined it was over $60 in fees. This is getting crazy. I wish more vendors would accept altcoins my preference would be Zcash(or Monero, if Tormarket added that option) but even LTC would be great. Is there any reason most vendors only take BTC?. For all its worth what ever vendor will take LTC or Zcash gets my business first.

Monero blockchain is running on the market now. It will become available soon for purchases.

The bitcoin tx fees the market is paying, some are over $1000 currently for a single tx.

If the fees fluctuate so very high but occasionally drop down, you can consolidate your wallets inputs whenever the fees are cheap. ie if you consolidate 10 inputs into one then to spend that single input will be about 10x cheaper. Consolidating inputs is basically paying yourself to make lots of coins become one.

Yea btc fees are crazy, one of my more recent purchases the fee was 30$ on a 50$ purchase.

Fuck that shit.  The Market should exclude BTC as a payment method.  Monero, Litecoin and Zcash are fine.

Like me, most people here don't understand what that means.  Buying weed has never been so complicated.

Scrap BTC, it's a shit coin.  Transactions using Dogecoin, Dash, Monero, Zcash, Litecoin are better....anything but BTC.

Just had unbelievable pleasure of using LTC for first time for payment after becoming increasingly unhappy about the cost to transact small amounts of BTC costing $30 plus reducing how much i can spend. When spending low amounts LTC is an obvious alternative with $37 saved per transaction on my small spends!

Withdrawal cost comparison at the exchange i use;
BTC = 0.0005 to withdraw ( i.e. $75,000 x 0.0005 =$37-50)
LTC = 0.001 to withdraw   ( i.e. $     357 x 0.001   =       35cents)
