So if you haven't heard, if you are 14 years old or younger, you will never be able to purchase tobacco in New Zealand, even after you turn 18.
Has NZ just solidified a future black market for tobacco? There already is a semi black market thats fairly known, a lot of dairies sell under the counter Chinese cigarettes that are about $15-20, and im sure a lot of people import foreign cigarettes secretly to avoid import taxes, but surely now with the outright ban they just put on a future generation this market will blow up. Thoughts? There 100% will be money to made thats for sure.
There will be a market but it will shrink over time. There won't be readily available tobacco for kids or when they become adults to get hooked on and I doubt they would black market tobacco if they weren't already addicted to it because it's literally a useless drug that just gets you addicted to a substance that doesn't bring you any pleasure except feeding the addiction once you're hooked.
The kids got vaping they dont give a fuck
Next there will be limits on who can buy alcohol and the quantity you are allowed.
Please can I see your ID if you want to purchase that energy drink and tub of ice cream.
just another one of those drugs you're gonna have to grow yourself
The kids got vaping they dont give a fuck
vapes suck, maybe it's the missing harmine and harmaline, or maybe it's some other ingredient, they just can never satisfy, plus all the polypropylene glycol feels funny after a while
Next there will be limits on who can buy alcohol and the quantity you are allowed.
we came damn close to banning alcohol in nz like they did in the US, there was a referendum and the votes for banning it were over 50% until extra votes from kiwis overseas fighting a world war were counted
